Hello, I'm Pete Needham. I'm from Romiley in the North West of England and this site is the hub of my own small and ludicrous empire! Have a look round and I hope you enjoy seeing what I get up to.
woodturning
I taught myself to turn in 2005 and I started selling my work a year later. My favourite things to turn are hollow vessels as they are challenging to turn and their form really makes the most of a beautiful piece of wood and allows the grain and figuring to be the centre of attention.

Artwork
I've always loved drawing and painting and I've recently started working in soft pastel too.
I mainly do portraits, wildlife studies & landscapes but if something takes my fancy, I'll do that as well! |
photographyI've had a camera since I was big enough to hold one and I would take photos of almost anything but in recent years I have settled into landscape and wildlife photography as my main interests. I use Nikon DSLRs and lenses that are dinosaurs by todays standards but I'm happy with the results.

Turning shop
I will soon be open for business and selling my hand turned work nationwide through Etsy.
Have a look at some of the pieces I have ready for sale by clicking the button below or take a look at my woodturning page (above) to see my past work as well as some turning projects and tool recommendations. Everything I make is unique and all my own work from choosing the raw timber to making it and it will be me that packs and posts it too. |

Camera Gear
This page follows on from my projects page but is specific to camera gear. As we all know, camera equipment can be very expensive so why spend a fortune on something you can make for next to nothing? As well as gear for still photography, I make accessories for my GoPro too.
Want to make a Glidecam? How about a ring flash adapter, softbox or nodal point panorama head? This is where you'll find all that good stuff! The Glidecam is already on as well as a GoPro polarizer and I'll be doing the rest soon. |
